Browning X-Bolt 2 Medallion SPR 300 Win Mag 22" Walnut Rifle

The X-Bolt 2 Medallion SPR is Browning aiming at the hunter who still wants a rifle that looks like a rifle. The stock is Grade III walnut with rosewood caps and a gloss finish, and the receiver is gloss blued with scroll engraving cut into it. None of that makes the rifle shoot better and Browning knows it. It makes the rifle worth picking up, which is a real thing in a market full of black polymer.

The shooting parts hold up their end. The 22" sporter weight barrel keeps the rifle carryable in a magnum chambering, the muzzle is threaded and wears a radial brake, and the SPR barrel profile runs shorter lengths with suppressor use in mind. The steel receiver is drilled and tapped, and Browning's X-Lock scope mounting system uses four screws per base instead of two, which takes a common source of zero drift off the table. In 300 Winchester Magnum this is a rifle for open country and larger game, and the brake takes enough edge off the recoil that a shooter will practice with it rather than sighting in and putting it away until season.
