Browning X-Bolt 2 Hunter Grade II 6.5 PRC 24" 3rd Rifle

The X-Bolt 2 is Browning's rework of a rifle that already sold well, and the Hunter Grade II is the walnut version of it. The stock is checkered Grade II walnut with a satin finish and it sits on a redesigned receiver and bolt. The barrel is a sporter contour in 6.5 PRC with a non reflective matte blued finish, threaded at the muzzle and wearing a radial muzzle brake. The receiver is steel, drilled and tapped.

6.5 PRC is the reason to look hard at this one. It runs the same bullets as 6.5 Creedmoor at a noticeably higher speed, which is what hunters want when shots stretch out across open country, and a 24" barrel gives the case room to work. Browning's X-Lock scope mounting system uses four screws per base instead of two, which takes some of the guesswork out of holding zero on a rifle that pushes back harder than a standard 6.5. Capacity is three in the magazine. The brake takes the edge off recoil, and if you would rather run a suppressor the threads are already cut. This is a hunting rifle first, built to be carried, with the walnut and bluing to match.
