Browning X-Bolt 2 Hunter 300 Win Mag 26" 3rd Walnut Left Hand Rifle

Browning's X-Bolt 2 is a reworking of a rifle that already sold well, and most of the changes sit in places you feel rather than see. The receiver carries extra bolt guidance surface, which smooths out the stroke and cuts down on the bind you get running the bolt hard from the shoulder. The DLX trigger is adjustable and comes set at hunting weights. The action is bedded at the recoil lug and at the action screws, and the barrel floats free from there forward.

This is the Hunter, which means a checkered walnut stock with a satin finish and a sporter contour barrel under a non reflective matte blued finish. It is a true left hand rifle: the bolt, the ejection port, and the stock are all built for a left handed shooter rather than mirrored on a spec sheet. The chambering is 300 Win Mag out of a 26 inch barrel, which is what that cartridge wants, since a short tube gives back the speed a 300 Win Mag charges you in recoil. The magazine holds 3 rounds. A bolt unlock button lets you cycle the action with the tang safety still on, and the teardrop bolt knob and the Inflex recoil pad carry over from the rest of the X-Bolt 2 line. The X-Lock scope mounting system uses four screws per base.
