The Browning BAR MK4 Speed in 243 Winchester is built around a gas-operated semi-auto action and a composite stock with overmolded gripping surfaces and a raised SoftFlex cheekpad that is shim-adjustable for cast on/off and drop. The 22" barrel wears a smoked bronze Cerakote finish, the stock is finished in OVIX camo, and the receiver carries integrated scope bases for a clean optic mount. The BAR's rotary bolt head locks into the barrel extension for a strong lockup that handles modern pressures.

243 Winchester is one of the softest-shooting centerfires that still hits well above its weight on deer, antelope, and coyotes. Combined with the Speed configuration, you get a light, fast-handling autoloader that swings well on running game and pairs nicely with a modest-magnification hunting scope. The MK4 series adds refined ergonomics and improved reliability over previous BAR generations.
