Browning AB3 Pro Hunter 270 Win 22" 4rd Walnut Rifle

The AB3 is Browning's working bolt gun and the Pro Hunter is the version that dresses it up without changing what makes it shoot. The barrel is a sporter contour with spiral flutes in a non reflective matte blue, threaded at the muzzle with a protector fitted, so a brake or a can goes on whenever the owner wants one. The action is the one Browning has been building under the A-Bolt name for years: a top tang safety that falls under the thumb, a bolt lock override for unloading with the safety still on, and a two piece bolt handle with a teardrop knob that clears a low mounted scope.

The stock is Grade I American walnut with a satin finish and enhanced checkering, and Browning's Inflex recoil pad sits on the butt, angled to pull the comb down and away from the face under recoil. The receiver comes drilled and tapped for bases. Feeding is from a detachable box magazine holding 4rd of 270 Win, still one of the flattest shooting deer and elk rounds a hunter can carry, and the 22" barrel keeps the rifle handy in timber instead of hanging up on brush.
