Browning AB3 Pro Composite SPR 30-06 Sprg 18" 4rd Gray Rifle

Browning shortened the barrel on this AB3 for one reason: people are hanging suppressors off hunting rifles now, and an 18" tube keeps the whole package manageable once a can goes on the end. The muzzle carries 5/8-24 threads with a protector in place when nothing is mounted. Spiral flutes take weight out of the barrel and add surface area, and the same spiral treatment carries over to the bolt body. The matte blued finish is non reflective, which matters more in a treestand than a glossy blue ever would.

The rest is A-Bolt III architecture that has been earning its keep for years. A detachable box magazine holds 4 rounds of 30-06 Springfield instead of making you thumb cartridges through a hinged floorplate. The top tang safety falls under the thumb where it belongs, and a bolt lock override button lets you cycle the action with the safety engaged. The gray and green composite stock shrugs off weather, the receiver comes drilled and tapped for bases, and an Inflex recoil pad soaks up what a 30-06 hands back. Two piece bolt handle, sporter contour barrel, nothing exotic anywhere on it. This is a working rifle built around the idea that a suppressor is going on the front of it sooner or later.
