Brownells AR-15 Bolt Carrier Carbon Scraper

Carbon bakes onto the inside of an AR bolt carrier and into the recess behind the tail of the bolt, and no amount of solvent and patch work takes it off. This scraper is cut to the shape of those surfaces, so the hardened crust comes away in flakes instead of getting chased around with a brush.

A carrier packed with carbon is where sluggish extraction and short stroking start on an otherwise healthy rifle. Ten seconds with a scraper at each cleaning keeps the carrier bore and the bolt tail at the dimensions they left the factory with. It fits AR-15 and M16 pattern carriers.
