Bersa BP9 Full Size 9mm 4.25" 17rd Pistol

Bersa built the BP9 Full Size around a 4.25" barrel and a 17 round magazine, which is the configuration most people mean when they say full size 9mm. The frame is polymer with a textured grip, the slide is cut for an optic straight from the box, and three dot irons are installed for the days the dot stays home. Two magazines come in the case. A longer slide settles faster between shots than a compact does, and a full size grip means all three fingers get on the gun instead of two and a wish.

Bersa spent decades known for small blowback pocket pistols, and the BP9 is the company stepping into the locked breech class that dominates the counter now. Nothing about the controls will surprise anyone who has run a modern service pistol. The matte black finish is a working finish rather than a showpiece, and the polymer frame keeps weight down without making the gun feel hollow. For a nightstand gun or a range gun, the pitch is straightforward: full size ergonomics, 17 rounds, and an optic cut already machined so the red dot can go on whenever the budget allows. That last part used to mean sending a slide out for milling.
