About the Bergara Cima Pro 6.5
Bergara built the Cima Pro around carbon. The CURE carbon barrel and the carbon fiber stock both come out of the same autoclave curing process, and the result is a rifle that carries like a light rifle without the whippy feel that usually comes with one. The stainless steel receiver is drilled and tapped for bases and wears a titanium coloured Cerakote that works against the brown and tan sponge accents in the stock.
The 20 inch barrel is threaded, so a brake or a suppressor goes on without a trip to a gunsmith, and the magazine holds three rounds of 6.5 PRC. The stock is the same autoclave cured carbon as the barrel rather than a moulded shell over foam, with brown and tan sponge accents worked through it. 6.5 PRC is a short action magnum: it runs a long high ballistic coefficient bullet at magnum speed out of a case that still fits a short action, without the belt and the long throat the older designs carried. Factory ammunition is available from most of the major makers in hunting and match loads, and a 20 inch barrel is a common length for the cartridge in a rifle meant to be carried rather than shot off a bench.
