Beretta A400 Solo KO 12 GA 26" 2rd Shotgun

The A400 Solo is Beretta's crossover semi auto, put together to keep running when the weather turns ugly and the birds keep coming. The B-Link Pro gas system cycles faster and stays cleaner than older Beretta gas guns, which shows up on the fourth or fifth cold morning between cleanings. The Steelium barrel measures 26" with a vent rib and a 3" chamber, so light target loads and heavy waterfowl payloads are both on the menu.

Kick-Off Plus is the feature hunters notice first. Beretta rates it at up to a 40 percent cut in felt recoil, and the practical effect is that the stock stays planted under the cheek instead of slapping it, which makes the second shot faster and the fiftieth shot of the day much less unpleasant. The receiver is aluminum, the stock and forend are black synthetic, and the controls work from either side. A B-Lok magazine cap holds the forend tight and the B-Uffer recoil pad handles whatever Kick-Off leaves behind. Three OCHP extended choke tubes, cylinder, modified, and full, come with the gun. The magazine holds 2 rounds. It is a hunting gun first, and it behaves like one in the field.
