Barnes loaded the heaviest tipped copper bullet on the market into this one. The 170gr TTSX runs a full 10 grains heavier than the VOR-TX LR version, and the extra weight makes it forgiving on impact velocity, which is exactly what you want when a bull steps out at 150 yards instead of 500. The polymer tip starts expansion, the copper petals peel back to double diameter and the bullet holds nearly all of its weight through bone.

Because there is no lead core to separate, penetration stays straight and deep. This load is aimed at short to medium range work on elk, moose and big deer where energy transfer matters more than a flat 600 yard trajectory. Sold as a 20rd box.
