About the Barnes VOR-TX 35 Whelen
This is the faster of the two VOR-TX 35 Whelen loads. A 180gr Tipped TSX flat base bullet leaves the muzzle quicker than the 200gr, which flattens the trajectory for shots across a clearcut or a field edge.
The polymer tip gets the copper nose opening right away and the bullet splits into four petals while the shank holds together. It hits hard enough for elk and black bear and still carries well for deer. Lead free. 20rd box. It is a sensible middle ground for hunters who want one 35 Whelen load for both deer and elk.
