American Tactical Cavalry SX Compact 28 GA 26" Shotgun

The American Tactical Cavalry SX Compact is a 28 gauge over/under built with a shorter stock for smaller framed and younger shooters. It carries 26" barrels and an engraved receiver set into a walnut stock and forend, and it comes with five choke tubes so you can open the pattern for close flushing birds or tighten it for longer passing shots.

The 28 gauge is a favorite of upland hunters for a reason: it patterns well, recoils softly and the gun stays light enough to carry through a full day in the field. That makes it a strong choice for quail, dove and grouse, and a comfortable gun to learn on at the skeet or sporting clays range. The break open action is simple to load and unload and easy to check at a glance, which is exactly what you want when teaching a new shooter. A bead front sight keeps the sight picture clean. If you want a small gauge over/under that fits a smaller shooter without giving up good looks, the Cavalry SX Compact is a good match.
