Athlon Neos HMR 3-9x40mm BDC17 Riflescope

BDC17 is the reason to buy this one. The reticle is cut for 17 HMR trajectory, with holdover marks that line up with what a light 17 caliber bullet actually does past 100 yards, and 3x to 9x is the right magnification band for squirrels, prairie dogs and coyotes at rimfire distance. The reticle sits in the second focal plane, so the holdovers are true at the top end of the zoom range.

Beyond the reticle it is a standard Neos HMR: a 40mm objective, fully multi coated glass, a 1 inch aluminum tube, quarter MOA turrets that reset to zero and nitrogen purging to keep fog out of the inside of the scope. Parallax is fixed at 100 yards, which matches how most 17 HMR shooters zero. It weighs 17 ounces and takes any standard 1 inch rings.
