Athlon Ares HLR 4-24x50mm AHMC1 Illuminated Riflescope

The Ares HLR runs from 4x to 24x through a 50mm objective, which covers a close shot in timber at the bottom of the range and small targets at distance up top. The AHMC1 reticle sits in the second focal plane with MOA based holds, and the illuminated fiber dot at the center gives you an aiming point that still reads against dark game or shaded steel.

Second focal plane means the reticle keeps one visual size no matter where the power ring sits, so your holds do not change as you zoom and the turrets do the work. The 30mm main tube is the common size in this class, so rings are easy to source and there is room for elevation travel. It is a straightforward setup for a bolt gun or a heavier gas gun that gets dialed rather than held over.
