An integrated infrared illuminator provides a covert light source for complete darkness, while a bright light cut-off feature protects the image tube from overwhelming light exposure and a flip-up shut-off supports seamless use with optional helmet mounts. The unit features dual eyepiece LEDs for IR illumination status and battery indication, and its lightweight, rugged construction supports handheld operation or mounting on headgear or a helmet, with compatibility for focal magnifier lenses to extend long-range viewing.
