Adams Arms Standard Picatinny Piston Kit Ar-15 Carbine Length 223 5.56 Nato

The Adams Arms Standard Picatinny Piston Kit for AR-15 Carbine Length delivers a high-performance upgrade for .223/5.56 x 45 mm NATO platforms, combining reliability with tactical versatility. This system features a patented One-Piece Bolt Carrier and a .750" Picatinny Gas Block with three settings—full gas for standard fire, half gas for suppressed use, and no gas for single-shot applications—along with a gas plug, bolt spring, drive rod with bushing and spring, and an installation instruction card. Notably, Adams Arms no longer requires the receiver bushing or installation dowel, simplifying installation while preserving a compact, clean profile. The piston system itself is a short-stroke, free-floating design that is self-cleaning, with carbon and gases expelled forward away from the operator, and a corrosion-resistant coating process to endure demanding field conditions. Its adjustable gas settings accommodate a range of applications, and by not venting directly to atmospheric pressure, it minimizes flash signature and the sonic crack—an asset for night vision use and suppressed fire. Measuring 7.866 inches from barrel extension to shoulder, this kit enhances reliability, reduces heat transfer to the barrel, and improves overall rifle performance for tactical, sport, and precision shooting scenarios.
