DoubleTap 270 Win 160gr Nosler Partition 20rd Box

DoubleTap loads this 270 Win cartridge with the 160gr Nosler Partition, a bullet big game hunters have leaned on for decades. The front core opens up on impact while the rear core, held behind the partition, stays together and keeps driving. That combination is what you want on elk, moose and big bodied deer where shot angles are not always perfect.

At 160 grains this sits at the heavy end of what the 270 normally shoots. You give up a little speed compared to 130gr and 140gr loads and get more retained weight and straighter penetration in return. DoubleTap rates it as their top big game load for the caliber. DoubleTap lists 2850 fps and 2887 ft-lbs from a 22" Winchester Model 70 barrel. Sold in a 20rd box.
